The purpose of visit to Georgia shall be confirmed by one of the following documents:
 
1. A document issued by the state bodies of Georgia or of the country concerned, which confirms that the alien is travelling to Georgia on a state, official or working visit;
2. A document issued by Georgia or the country concerned, which confirms that the alien is a member of the official delegation travelling to Georgia on a working visit;
3. A Document issued by the state bodies of Georgia, which confirms that the alien is travelling to Georgia with a specific mission in the state interests of Georgia;
4. A written application of the relevant country’s foreign affairs agency, diplomatic mission or consular office, or an organisation whose employees enjoy a diplomatic or equivalent status;
5. For top officials of foreign legislative and executive authorities, members of top- and high-level delegations or their accompanying family members arriving in Georgia on a friendly or unofficial visit, a document of any kind which confirms the purpose of the private visit;
6. A document confirming the business (commercial, professional) relationship between an alien/his/her employer and a natural person in Georgia or a legal person registered in Georgia. If there is a business relationship between an alien’s employer and a natural person in Georgia or a legal person registered in Georgia, a document confirming an employment relationship between the alien and his/her employer shall also be presented.
7. A document issued by the state bodies of Georgia, by natural persons (individual entrepreneurs) or legal persons registered in Georgia, which confirms that the person plans to conduct business in Georgia. Also, a document that specifies the anticipated duration of the employment relationship and the amount of labour remuneration, or information on other forms of remuneration;
8. A document issued by an appropriate foreign institution, which confirms that the alien is employed by this institution and requires a visit to Georgia in order to carry out his/her official duties;
9. A document confirming that the person concerned is a diplomatic courier;
10. Documents confirming the existence of the conditions/circumstances stipulated by an appropriate international agreement of Georgia (if such conditions/circumstances are set forth in the international agreement);
11. For members of peacekeeping forces stationed in Georgia under an appropriate international agreement of Georgia and for members of other military contingents in Georgia, a document confirming the above circumstances (individual or collective movement orders, military cards, etc.);
12. An extract from the Public Registry, which confirms that the alien is the founder/co-founder of an entrepreneurial (commercial) legal entity registered in Georgia or is authorized to be in charge of/represent such entity;
13. A document confirming that the alien conducted or is conducting entrepreneurial activity in his/her country or in another country, or a document confirming the existence of sufficient financial funds (financial funds required to obtain an investment residence permit) for conducting entrepreneurial activity in Georgia;
14. The relevant employment contract, which must contain information about the duration of the employment with the alien and the amount of labour remuneration (if applicable);
15. A document issued by a medical facility, which confirms that the alien requires medical treatment in this facility and/or that the facility is ready to provide medical treatment to the alien. The document shall also contain information on whether or not an accompanying person is needed (if necessary) and the total cost of treatment;
16. A document confirming the admission to an authorised educational institution of Georgia;
17. A document issued by an authorised educational institution of Georgia (a letter, student ID card, etc.), which confirms that the alien is studying in an education programme offered by this educational institution (training course, exchange programme, research activity, language training courses, postgraduate courses, etc.) or is visiting Georgia to study or conduct research on the premises of the educational institution;
18. When studying in a foreign language education programme, an alien shall, in addition to a document confirming the purpose of travel, also submit a document confirming the existence of the foreign language education programme in the authorised educational institution in which the alien has been enrolled.
19. A document confirming the participation in an international programme indicated in the information provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia;
20. A document confirming the existence of the grave of the alien’s relative or close one in Georgia;
21. A document confirming the existence of kinship or close relationship between the alien and the buried person;
22. A document that confirms holding of a seminar, conference or any other scientific-research, pedagogical, cultural or sports event, the participation (as a participant, guest or in any other status) of the alien in this event and which includes the name of the host organisation, the duration of the anticipated stay of the alien in Georgia and the purpose of the visit;
23. A document issued by Georgia or by the country concerned, which confirms that the alien is travelling to Georgia on a scientific, sports, cultural or educational mission;
24. A document issued by the national sports federations or national Olympic committees of Georgia, which confirms holding of the sports event and the participation (as a participant, guest or in any other status) of the alien in the event, or the fact of the alien’s travel to Georgia on a sports mission;
25. A document issued by a professional organisation or an employer, which confirms that the person conducts journalistic activity in a foreign country or that the person accompanying him/her is participating/assisting in the journalistic activity;
26. A document confirming that the purpose of travel is journalistic activity or assistance in such an activity;
27. A document confirming the right to conduct journalistic activity in Georgia (a document confirming passing of journalistic accreditation, etc.);
28. A document confirming that the person is a member of the crew (seafarer’s identification card) of the ship anchored in a Georgian harbour;
29. A document confirming conduct of a professional activity in Georgia, and a document/information that confirms that the alien is engaged in a similar type of activity;
30. A document confirming that the person is a representative of a liberal profession (a certificate, a certificate issued by a professional association, etc.);
31. A list of holy places to be visited in Georgia and an itinerary detailing the time of visiting the holy places;
32. A document confirming the relationship with religious organisations in Georgia (correspondence, etc.).
33. A permit allowing a foreign driver to carry cargo and/or transport passengers.
34. A document issued by Georgia or by the country concerned, which confirms that the alien is travelling to Georgia for internship or as a volunteer;
35. A document certifying title to real property (except for agricultural land) located in Georgia, the value of which exceeds USD 35 000 equivalent in laris – an extract from the Public Register and a document issued by a certified assessor of the body accredited by the Legal Entity under Public Law – the Unified National Body of Accreditation of Georgia - Accreditation Centre, which confirms the market value of the real property.
36. A document confirming that the alien is a family member (a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, etc.) – in the case, a visa applicant obtains a visa as an alien’ family member.
37. An invitation;
38. A document confirming that a person staying in Georgia, or a person who has applied for a D1, D2, or D3 visa, or who has obtained a visa of the said category, is a family member of the alien applying for a D4 visa category (a marriage certificate, children’s birth certificate, the alien’s birth certificate, etc.);
39. A document confirming that a family member of the alien is legally staying in Georgia (the legal stay does not include the stay of the alien’s family member in Georgia on the basis of a visa, except for the D1, D2 or D3 visa).
40. Any other document confirming the purpose of the alien’s travel to Georgia.
